Where do I start? I feel somewhat strange writing a profile here. What's wrong with this guy, you think, why cant he meet
somebody in normal way? Well, for one thing, I live in a small town. The pool of women of quality is somewhat limited, at
least in my opinion. And, maybe God put my pefect match on the other side of the world. I believe that nothing good can
be built on the base of lies. So I am going to be completely open. I'm a very responsible and dutiful man. Kind of on the
old fashioned side. I think gentleman should hold open doors for ladies and pick up the check. I have a very dry sense of
humor, somewhat on the sarcastic side. I tend to see things as they are, so I cans seem something of a cynic at times, but
it also makes me one of the most logical guys around. As for hobbies, I love to read, especially history. I'm into
cultural things like opera, theater. As for sports I like to snow ski in the winter and to target shoot. But, I'm a very
laid back sort, to just hang around the house and relax or watch a dvd is also plenty of fun for me. As for the type of
lady I'm looking for, I would like someone intelligent, so we could converse about deep subjects. A real feminine lady who
is honest and kind. Someone who could share my interest in books and culture. Someone as laid back as I, who doesn't have
to go out every night, but is content to also stay at home and be together. Also a non-smoker, never been married. And
you should want to have childeren. I live in a small town, with no plans to move, so if you like the big city, I'm not
your sort of guy. Well, I hope to hear from you soon.

My ideal first date would be to go to the Portland art museum see the new exhibit, espeically a good one like the Egyptian or Hesse exhibit. Then go to Keller auditorium for the opera early so we could chat outside by the waterfall. The opera would be a really good one like Don Giovani or Il Travatore, 2 of my favorites. Afterwards go out for a drink at a quiet place so we could talk about the show. Then we would go for a walk around the lake were I live, very romantic setting, hold hands and talk some more about the evening we had.

Well as strange as it may sound I'm in the Army Reserves, I'm a Captain. I wanted to serve overseas. I sometimes feel ashamed that I havent served in the war.

As for hobbies, reading is probably my favorite hobby. I always have a book or two that I am reading. My favorite subject to read is history or nonfiction. I love to read about the great battles of the past. Do read fiction to, when I feel like I have had to much reality.I'm really into cultural things. I love the opera, theater such as Shakespeare or Broadway and going to museums. In the winter time I like to go snow skiing. I like to rent or buy DVD's and watch them at home. I perfer this to going to the movies, its cheaper and in the comforts of your own home, especially if your snuggling with somebody. I listen to just about all forms of music, depending on my mood. Classical, rap, country, pop and rock.
