I retired a couple of years ago after a long career with the federal government. I worked in the accounting/auditing field. I am enjoying retirement, but close companion would make it so much more enjoyable.

Friends and family are important in my life. I have many close friends with whom I socialize on a regular basis. My family lives in Florida, so I visit there a few times a year. I have one daughter who is married and living in West Palm Beach, Florida with my son-in-law and 3 grandsons. I also have a sister living in Melbourne, Florida. I like Florida, but I am not ready to move there. I think New England is a beautiful place to live. I was born in Rhode Island and have lived here for most of my life, with the exception of a few years in Washington, DC and San Francisco (in the 60’s).

I enjoy gardening in season. I always have a small vegetable and herb garden in the summer. There is nothing like a fresh tomato off the vine served with basil freshly picked from your own garden. I feed the birds in my backyard, and love watching them from my kitchen window in the morning.

I enjoy the changing New England seasons and even enjoy the winters now that I am retired and am not obligated to drive when the snow falls.

My taste in music runs from classical to country, and I enjoy dancing. I enjoy traveling, especially cruising. The last cruise I was on was a 10-day Mediterranean cruise, which was great.

I am hoping to find the right person to be my closest companion and best buddy. Honor, intelligence, sense of humor, zest for life and sensitivity are attractive qualities, as is a caring and respect for all God’s creatures. I have faith that you are out there somewhere and I will find you.
