I believe in chemistry; if we don't hit it off early on, it will never happen. I'm easily placated, so there is no really ideal date. Dinner and a movie, conversation over lunch, a day at the beach or in the mountains, a hike in the desert, watching a sunset, camping anywhere. Daily -- Spend time with my partner, work on some project around the house (and I have many), practice guitar (just learning) and singing (pretty good bass/baritone), walking (with dogs)/hiking/mountain biking/working out, cook, read, listen to NPR. Geeez, I sound terribly boring . . .

Special times -- Travelling, observing the universe (amateur astronomer here), country western dancing singing, motorcycling, flying (private pilot), . . .

Age not critical, but he must be masculine ("straight acting" does not qualify), level-headed, organized, physically fit and mentally active, height and weight proportionate, health-conscious, outdoors type, lover of life, nature and animals. A self starter, but willing to lean back and relax too. Comfortable with self, but a good talker, listener, and cuddler. Can be a light smoker and/or drinker, but not a bar fly. Facial hair, a warm heart, honesty and a sense of humor are necessities. Body hair is a plus, but not a requirement. A caring, loving person who likes mixing with people, but can just as easily hibernate with his partner. Willing to risk intimate moments and hot times and sharing life's tough times as well as the good. Monogamy is also a good trait, as is a desire to cuddle, touch, and stare into each others' eyes. Maybe a bit old-fashioned when it comes to love, understanding, and consideration of others.
