I believe the first introductory encounter should be kept simple. Meet for a beverage & good conversation. Preferably in a relatively quiet place where a good conversation can be had. Learn of each other's interests, goals, ideas, share stories & laughter. Laughter to me is important, as it helps relieve any awkwardness of a first impression. Focusing on one another as each speaks, gazing in one another's eyes to see the essence of their being. If all goes well, weather permitting, perhaps a stroll in a park, or near a body of water. Laughing, holding hands, smiling, becoming more relaxed with one another.
